Grow

  1. Spiritual Growth :- We desire for businesses to grow in all aspects, as reflected in 2 Timothy 3:17: “That the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” Spiritual growth is essential for maintaining steadfastness and thriving. Just as the Christian life requires forward momentum, businesses must also continually grow to stay impactful and relevant. The apostle Paul reminds us in Philippians 3:13-14 to press forward, striving for excellence and purpose in all endeavors.

  2. Competence and Excellence in Business  :- We aim for businesses to grow in competence and excel in their respective industries. This means equipping leaders and teams with the necessary skills, knowledge, and strategies to navigate competitive environments effectively. Competence involves mastering operational excellence, while excellence reflects a commitment to innovation, integrity, and sustainable success. By growing in these areas, businesses not only thrive but also contribute meaningfully to their communities and glorify God through their work.

Go!

Business as Mission - BAM: At the heart of EBN’s mission is the principle of “Go”, inspired by the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20), which calls us to “go and make disciples of all nations.” This mandate extends beyond traditional ministry, encompassing the business world as a platform to fulfill God’s purpose. Business as Mission (BAM) is our approach to living out this calling by integrating faith and enterprise in a transformative way.

What is Business as Mission? Business as Mission (BAM) is the concept of using business as a tool to advance God’s Kingdom. It emphasizes creating enterprises that:

  • Demonstrate Christ-like values in operations, leadership, and relationships.

  • Transform communities through job creation, ethical practices, and holistic development.

  • Extend the Gospel by intentionally integrating faith into business practices and environments.

Glorify

We are to live for the praise of the glory of God! We have been formed and made and created for God’s glory.

Like Jesus, who only did what He saw the Father doing, and only said what He heard the Father saying, we are made for the praise and glory of God.  We exist for the glory of God.

(1 Corinthians 10:31,  Ephesians 1:12,  Philippians 1:9-11)

We were created to glorify God, but we cannot add anything to God.  Acts 17:25 “And He is not served by human hands, as if He needed anything, because He Himself gives all men life and breath and everything else.”

Integrity in Business, Unity in Faith

At the Evangelical Businesses Network in Ethiopia (EBN), we are committed to uniting faith and integrity to empower ethical business excellence among our members.
